PERSONAL SUPPORT AFTER LOSS

As your grief companion, I'll be an empathetic and understanding fellow traveler in the often-overwhelming aftermath of loss, providing a listening ear and practical support for the myriad tasks needed to tie up loose ends. Our visits will give you the opportunity to process the experience, talk about the person who died, and receive help with whatever feels hard in the moment, from errands and light household work to deciding what to with belongings when you're ready. As with all my services, rehoming belongings includes a values-based plan that feels meaningful, and is environmentally friendly whenever possible.

There is no expiration date on grief, and sometimes people have traumatic and complicated feelings about a death in the past and find that talking through it with someone who is comfortable listening brings a sense of peace.

GRIEF COMPANION
SERVICES MAY INCLUDE:

  • guidance for creating meaningful rituals

  • emotional support

  • downsizing and distribution of possessions

  • tying up loose ends

  • assistance with household tasks

  • running errands

I offer an 8-session experimental series for bereaved individuals, families, or groups designed to facilitate continued connection, memory-making, and development of ongoing comforting rituals and memorial practices after the loss of a loved one.

I can’t say enough about how much it meant to me to have Lauren’s support at the time of my mother’s death. She knew what our family needed, and she showed up and quietly and lovingly gave it. In some ways, she knew more about what we needed than we did ourselves. Her presence was a blessing to our entire family.
